Private Messages In Quick Notes

i love this system, especially the Quick Notes. But the one thing that bothers me is how my browser behaves with private messages. Sometimes, I'll get a private message and want to send a message to everyone, but it'll change my default and send it to the person who sent me the message. Would it be possible for the admins to create a prompt (that could easily be turned on and off) that would warn users when sending a private message if you didn't set your default to do so, or to have an option to make the browser stop automatically choosing to send private messages? Thanks.

They used to do that, sort of. But it became a real problem for some of us, because if you had publics turned off it defaulted to the first person in the list. (I could tell you some embarrassing stories..., but I won't).

I think the assumption is that if you've received a private qn, you will probably want to respond.

Just go to the combo box and press home to get to "all users".

I agree. We used to have it set up that way , and people complained and complained and complained (Me included here), because we wanted it so that if people sent us a private quicknote, it would automaticly default to there username so we can respond.
